2016:

Presentation of “His image”, 16 March, 2016 Conference Hall of XENIA Hotel, Volos, Greece. George Paxinos’s first novel entitled “In His Image” was presented. The presentation was organized by Global Attract and was under the auspices of the Hellenic Society of Neurosciences.

Brain-scapes, 17 March, 2016 Art Hall IANOS bookstore, Thessaloniki, Greece. This event was an art exhibition where the artist, Mrs. M. Efstathiou is also an MD and was inspired by the brain atlases of Prof. Paxinos. Her artwork, Brain-scapes are a combination of brain-atlases’ images with her artistic work.

The presentation was organized by the Hellenic Society of Neurosciences and the Lab. of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, AUTh.

Positive Dog Training, 31 March, 2016, Auditorium of 2nd Elementary School of Panorama, Thessaloniki, Greece. This event was a presentation of animal behavior under the effect of positive training.

Brain Events–Wanderings, 2 April, 2016 Theatre of 4th Elementary School of Perea, Thessaloniki, Greece. Students of the school presented their artwork inspired by brain.

2015:

Sensing brain, 22 April, 2015 Lab. of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Fac. of Veterinary Medicine, AUTh. This event was a presentation of brain to 10 blind people from the Regional Association for the Blind Association of Central Macedonia. This event was attended not only by the disabled people but by their companions and trainers as well. The seminar included thorough presentation of the nervous system basics which was mainly achieved by touching elements specially designed and made for these people

2014:

Getting acquainted with the brain, 14 Μarch, 2014 Cultural Center of Blind Association. This event was a special conference to present the brain in 10 blind people from the Regional Association for the Blind Association of Central Macedonia. This event was attended not only by the disabled people but by their companions and trainers as well. The seminar included thorough presentation of the nervous system basics which was mainly achieved by touching elements specially designed and made for these people

Getting acquainted with the brain, 15 Μarch, 2014 Music School of Thessaloniki. This event was a conference to present the brain to the students of the Music School of Thessaloniki. The Foyer of Music School was decorated with artworks on brain made by the students of the Art School of Thessaloniki.

Getting acquainted with the brain, 9 Αpril, 2014 Hall of City Council, Town Hall of Thessaloniki. The event had as main speaker Dr. George Paxinos, Professor of Psychology and Medical Sciences of the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia). Professor Paxinos questioned the public of Thessaloniki about brain having the right size.

The Hellenic Society for Neurosciences was awarded in 2014 by the European Dana Alliance for Brain and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies because of these events and other similar in different places of Greece

2013:

Intellectual Portrayals 28 February 2013, Alaca Imaret. This event was a presentation of artworks (painting, sculpture, video, etc.) by 20 artists on the brain (and head in general) http://www.dana.org/BAW/Gallery/#prettyPhoto%5Bgallery1%5D/44/

Brain Wanderings 1 Μarch 2013, Theatre of Kalamari Hellenic-French School. This event was a conference to present the brain and its functions to students of 6th elementary grade and 1st and 2nd high-school grade of Kalamari Hellenic-French Schooland of the 6th elementary grade of the 1st Elementary School of Ag. Pavlos.

Brain Wanderings 14 Μarch 2013, Lab. of Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Fac. of Veterinary Medicine, AUTh. This event was a presentation of brain to students of the 5thelementary grade of the Experimental School of Thessaloniki in Evosmos.

Approaching brain 10 Αpril, 2013 Theater of Multi Variate Use of the City of Thessaloniki. This event was a conference of presentations of issues related to brain. Its purpose was to inform the public of the city not only for the physiological function of the brain but for the diseased brain as well.
